<p>Understanding the <strong>critical need for clean, reliable water</strong>, <strong>PMF funded and installed a borehole</strong> on the school premises. This was a <strong>game-changer</strong> for Ethembeni School, as access to clean water impacts <strong>every aspect of school life</strong>, including:</p>

Last year, <strong>eye tests were conducted for each individual learner</strong>, and those in need were provided with <strong>prescription glasses</strong>.</p>
<p>For many of these students, <strong>clear vision means the ability to read, learn, and engage fully in their education</strong>. The gift of eyesight is more than just a medical necessity—it opens doors to <strong>academic success and personal confidence</strong>. PMF’s thoughtful intervention has <strong>removed a major barrier</strong> to learning for these children, allowing them to thrive.</p>

<p>PMF’s support for Ethembeni School is <strong>a testament to their mission</strong>—not just to <strong>respond to immediate needs</strong> but to <strong>create lasting change</strong>. 										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>This year the 7run3 running club is joining Steve Maliszewski to celebrate his 10th running of the legendary Comrades Marathon! Our individual running accomplishments however are secondary as our primary mission is the continued support of the children of Ethembeni.</p>
<p>Along the course of the Comrades Marathon, and very dear to our hearts, is the Ethembeni School. Established in 1984, The Ethembeni School serves 300 physically disabled and visually impaired children from all over Kwazulu-Natal, Kingdom of the Zulu (South Africa), educating them to reach their highest potential and to become independent and responsible citizens of the community.</p>
<p>The name <strong><a href="http://ethembenischool.co.za/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Ethembeni </a></strong>means “Place of Hope” and the motto Phila Ufunde – Live and Learn. At Ethembeni 300 beautiful children live, learn, and give us joy and hope.</p>
<p>The children of Ethembeni need us more than ever. Any support is greatly appreciated.</p>

<p>Ethembeni School is proud to announce that our very own Principal Braam Mouton will be participating in the 2021 Cape Town Cycle Tour.</p>
<p>The Cape Town Cycle Tour is celebrating the traditional cycling month of March with a virtual cycling tour which is presented by Powerade and Wesgro. The first challenge in this event series is the 109-for-109 Charity Challenge. The 109-for-109 Charity Challenge Objective is to ride 109km or more during the month of March ANYWHERE ANYTIME (within a 24-hour time-frame) while using the Strava Application. to Verify the distance. The proceeds and funds raised by the event will go to helping raise funds for the Cape Town Cycle Tour Trust.</p>
<p>Principal Mouton will be undertaking the challenge in support of the Cape Town Cycle Tour Trust on Tuesday 30 March 2021, and he’s challenged us all to take on our own spectators challenge as well. As he will be riding 109Km’s he’s challenging The Ethembeni School Supporters to Donate R109 to show their support of the entire initiative.</p>
