Speech and Drama Festival

Our Speech and Drama Festival turned out to be a huge success. We are grateful to all our learners and staff that took part in making this day a success.

Speech and Drama Festival Preparations

Our learners are busy preparing for our next Speech and Drama Festival which will be held at the school on Friday the 13th of May. Much excitement has been building up and all are looking forward to it.

Horse Riding Lessons

Our physically disabled learners go for horse riding lessons every friday where they learn ho wto strengthen their core muscles and and train their backs, learning to sit up straight. Our learners really enjoy these lessons and always look forward to them.

Ethembeni Cycling Team Helping Others

Mason Lincoln learners were visiting yesterday and took a few tips from our experienced Ethembeni Cyclists as they wish to start their own cycling program in the near future. Ethembeni School is not just a place of Hope for our own learners, but for all who wish to attain success.

Swimming Lessons

Learners are swimming, it is a unique oppurtunity for freedom of movement, motor learning, muscle straightning and fitness.

A Generous Donation From Virgin Active Pinetown

Our very generous, much appreciated donation from Virgin Active Pinetown. Our Media Centre is now complete with these beautiful new chairs. Our learners are already enjoying using them. Thank you Virgin Active Pinetown

A Blind Learner doing assessments

A blind learner who has never been to school before had her asessments done and she did amazingly well, separating the different shaped objects and grouping them according to their shapes.

2016 Cycling Team

 2016 Cycling team in training. They are very enthusiastic, and we also have learners from last year’s team that are leading and guiding the new members this year. We also have a completely blind learner, Menzi, who is currently one of the best riders in the team.

Learners baking cookies

Some of our learners use their spare time to learn how to bake with the help of our dedicated volunteers from Germany, Julian and Doro.
